FAQ
What Is Form 7000 (Tofes 7000) in an Israeli Property Purchase?
Form 7000 (ืืืคืก 7000) is the declaration your lawyer must submit to the Israel Tax Authority to report a property purchase and calculate the Mas Rechisha owed. It must be filed within 30 days of signing the purchase agreement.
The form includes the property's Gush and Helka, the buyer and seller's identifying details, the agreed price, and the applicable buyer category (foreign buyer, Israeli resident, or new Oleh) used to calculate the correct tax rate.
Why it matters for a buyer: missing the 30-day deadline triggers a fine on top of the tax itself. Your lawyer normally handles this filing as part of standard closing procedure, but confirm it's been submitted and that you have proof of filing for your own records.
